Alline Avehart Jones or “Mama Lin” as she was known to all, was born December 10, 1920 in Streetman, Texas to parents, Hugh Avehart and Elizabeth Avehart. She attended school Streetman, Texas and later became a homemarker and nanny for over 30 years.

Alline married Johnnie B. Jones and moved to Dallas, Texas. To this union was born her only daughter, Anna Jo Anderson, who precedes her in death.

Alline was a lifetime member of New Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church for over 60 years where Pastor B. L. Bell was not only her Christian advisor but her friend and son.

Alline departed this life January 10, 2017. A host of angels preceded her in death: parents; husband of 60 years; daughter; only sister, Irene Ferguson.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren; god-daughter, Fannie Curry; god-sister, Eartha Hood.

She also leaves to cherish her legacy: a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A special thanks to her caregivers; Kym Williams, Emma Law, and the staff at Texas Best Hospice Care.
