Alvin Loyd Jimmerson was born May 11, 1927 in Hughes Springs, Texas to the parents of Letha Marie Chisom and Lloyd Jimmerson, who preceded him in death. He passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 in Greenville, Texas. He attended school in Daingerfield, Texas. After completing his studies, he joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He later worked for T & N Railroad, Peterson’s Tire Service, and Sears & Roebuck, where he retired after 40 years. While employed at Sears he started his own business, A.L.’s Tire Service.

 He was a devoted member of Liberty United Methodist Church in Hughes Spring, Texas. He later joined Shiloh Church of God in Christ until death.

 L. Jimmerson married Ruby Lee Alexander and to this union they shared the blessing of 5 children. He will be joining his father, Lloyd Jimmerson, and mother, Letha Marie Jones; sisters, Hazel Smith, Darlene Jimmerson, Judy Jimmerson, and Lena Denmark; brothers, Isiah Jones, Bobby Jimmerson, L. V. Jimmerson, L. C. Jimmerson, Jeremy Jimmerson, and James A. Jones, who preceded him in death.

 L. Jimmerson leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 21 years, Tillie Ann Jimmerson, of Greenville, Texas; sons, Louis (Jo) Jimmerson of Hughes Springs, Texas, Alvin (Linda) Jimmerson of Glenn Heights, Texas, Glen Jimmerson of Dallas, Texas, Randy (Natocha) Jimmerson of San Antonio, Texas, and Michael (Denine) Jimmerson of Denver, Colorado; daughters, Veronica (Willie) Norman of Lancaster, California, and Diane Sye of Dallas, Texas; step-children, Lisa (Dezi) Hite of Greenville, Texas, Ruben Bridges of Greenville, Texas, Manuel Bridges of Greenville, Texas, and Dexter (Kari) Bridges of Greenville, Texas

 L. has 25 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

 He leaves behind sisters: Rose Faye, Jewel, Betty Lue, Annie (Elroy), Doris Louise, Elizabeth, Leatha (Bobby), Johnnie Alice, Jessie, Historia; brothers, D. C., Lloyd (Zora), Rev. Willie (Sherryiel), Jimmy, Edward James (Alta Mae), T. W. (Jo), Clyde (Connie), Eddie Jones.
