Alvin Lee Sanders was born to Fred and Bernice Sanders on November 28, 1938 in Hillsboro, Texas. He was the fifth of eleven children born to this union.

Alvin attended school in Hillsboro School District. He accepted Christ at an early age, and enjoyed singing in a gospel group, most recently at Full Gospel Holy Temple.

Alvin was first married to Mattie Falls and to this union 6 children were born. He also raised his first granddaughter, Shanekia Barnes in this household.

He later married Rachel Tubbs and to this union 3 children were born.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bernice; his wife Rachel; daughter Demitrous; two sisters, Dorothy Nell and Inez; 6 brothers, Roosevelt, O.Z., Willie Earl, Douglas Wayne, David and  Fred.

Alvin will forever be remembered and cherished by his children: Debra (Marvin), Alvin (Tawanna), Rose (Donnie), Sandra, Steven (Sandra), Regina, Jermaine (Veronica), Krystal (Derrick)  Grandchildren:  Shanekia, Charmaine, Alvin III, Ryan, DaRiell, Donnie, Kendrick, Shamichael, Gerald, Jessica, Steven, Patrice, Cranesia, Demarcus, Leantra, LeAnthony, Lamont, Marques, Jermaine, Christopher, and Caleb; one sister, Barbara Flowers, and a brother, Doyle Sanders, and a host of other relatives and friends.
