Angela Jeanette Simmons was born September 14, 1964, in Roswell, NM to the parentage of Etta Williams and Alvin Dickerson. She later moved to Dallas, Texas, where she received her education. She worked for years as a childcare teacher, and later pursued her passion as a substance abuse and alcohol counselor. God called her home on April 1, 2017.

Angela had a passion for people. She knows no strangers. She spiritually adopted many children, and friends became close family members. She enjoyed Bible Study, especially with her best friend. She always gave her unbiased advice with unconditional love. She had a heart of gold, love that warms your soul, and laughter that fills your hearts.

Angela Simmons was preceded in death by her sister, Teri Ann Williams; her half-sister, Cynthia Chambers; her Aunt Flora Berryman and her uncle Jody Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Etta Williams; brother, Richard Williams; nephew, Shalaco Williams; grandmother, Lillian Dixon; children, S’Quala Williams, Kelvin Williams, Kerry Williams (Felicia), Keith Simmons (Samantha), Sha’Quana Simmons, and Shameron Simmons; grandchildren, Kelvin Williams, III, S’Nia Williams, Javannah Simmons and Keith Simmons, Jr.; pets, Lady Dee and Jew-Jew; and a host of family and close friends.
