Ann Elizabeth Johns

Ann Elizabeth Johns, born on May 23, 1955, in Waco, Texas, peacefully passed away in Dallas, Texas, on December 20, 2024, at the of 69. A cherished member of her community, Ann lived a life enriched by her work in Environmental Services and Culinary Arts, contributing not only to her field but also to the lives of those she touched.

Raised in Waco, Ann attended A. J. Moore High School, where her passion for learning began to flourish. Those who knew her described her as a quiet yet radiant soul—a joyous ray of light in the lives of her family and friends. Ann was known for her love of singing and her unwavering dedication as a prayer warrior, always offering support and comfort to those around her.

She is survived by her loved ones, including Jenny Johns, James Caruthers II, Anthony Caruthers, and Victoria Miles, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and joy. Ann has been reunited with her parents, Weldon Johns and Emma Faye Hamilton-Johns, who will forever be remembered as pivotal figures in her life.

A visitation to celebrate Ann's life will be held on January 2, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Eternal Rest Funeral Home in DeSoto, Texas, located at 1400 N Hampton Rd, 75115. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place on January 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM, concluding around noon at the same location.

Ann Elizabeth Johns will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
