Benjamin Franklin Petter, 71, of Sulphur Springs, Tx went to be with our savior on March 26, 2019 at the VA hospital in Dallas after complications from pneumonia.
He is preceded in death by his wife Jackie, mother, father, sister Lillian, sister Doris and brother Bill.
He is survived by his children, Ronnie Petter of Sulpher Springs, Tx; daughter Kimberly Epps and husband Scott of Waxahachie, Tx and daughter Andrea Hooker and husband Jerry of Italy, Tx. Grandchildren Joey Petter and wife Morgan; Jordan Gore; Olivia Epps; Meagan, Amber & Kimberly Hooker. Great granddaughter Corey Gore. Siblings, Angeline Sinkule; Cathy Pustjovsky and husband Billy; Tommy Petter and wife Jeanette. Along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ben served in the Air force during the Vietnam war and continued to serve in the reserves till 1975. He retired as a master sign manufacturer and enjoyed tinkering with anything and everything! It didn’t matter what it was if it was broke he would fix it or at least attempt to. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his children, grandchildren and beloved fat cat Mona.
A memorial service will be held on April 11 at 11:30 am at the DFW National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. We will meet at Eternal Rest Funeral Home Chapel 1400 N. Hampton Road | DeSoto, Texas 75115 at 10:15 am and leave for the cemetery at 10:30am.
