Betty Frances Hall was born September 19, 1937 in Lisbon, Louisiana to the parents of Willie Dewitt Hall and Equator Sampson Hall; she was the 4th child of fifteen children.
Betty became a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Lisbon, Louisiana at an early age.
Betty attended school at Mount Pleasant School and Homer Colored High School. She moved to California in 1957 where she completed her high school education. Shortly after relocating to Los Angeles she met and married Thurman T. Branch in 1963.
Betty continued her education and received a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at California Training School for Nursing Aides & Orderlies in 1970. Betty was a dedicated and committed worker. She worked as an LPN for various hospitals in Los Angles and later worked as a private duty nurse for various clients. She retired in 2014 after the death of her client, Mrs. Sonia Linde, whom she looked after for over twenty years; that same year she packed her bags and retuned back to Lisbon.
Betty loved her nieces and nephews and was always very supportive of them, and they returned that love by celebrating her birthdays and showering her with gifts. Betty will be remembered for the love she had for her family, her kindness, fun-loving spirit, her memory, her delight in storytelling, her love to talk; Betty never met a stranger.
