Billie Jean Wilmeth was born on February 26, 1928 in Royse City, Texas to Edward Thurston Beadles and Alice Maude Falkner, of whom both preceded her in death. She had two older sisters, Edna Niblack and Eva Earline Justice, who also preceded her in death.
She married the love of her life, Elton (Eagle) Wilmeth, a WWII Airforce war veteran, in New Mexico. After settling in Tokio, Texas to farm the earth, Billie and Elton were blessed with two daughters, Jeanie and Julie. Her daughter Julie preceded her in death.
Billie enjoyed a long and fruitful career as a telephone operator with Southwestern Bell and AT&T, from who she retired after 32 years of service. From there she fulfilled her dreams of traveling all across North America, often with groups of other retirees from her church. She also spent as much time as possible being a grandmother.
Billie faithfully served the Lord her entire life; first at Bacon Heights Baptist Church in Lubbock, and then at Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Mesquite.
Left to cherish her memories is her beloved daughter, Jeanie Wilmeth Olds and son-in-law, Randy Olds. She also left a number of grandchildren including, Zachary Curns, Heather, Zane and Hayon Olds, as well as one great-grandchild, Milo Fox. And a host of nieces, nephews, and other loved ones will hold her death in their memory.
