Charles Ray Gibbs was born on January 8, 1952 to the union of James Beard Sr and Lessie Jean Johnson in Dallas, Texas.

Charles Gibbs received his formal education at Lincoln High School in Dallas, Texas.

Charles Gibbs accepted Christ as his Savior at True Light Baptist Church at the age of 11.

He was employed by Dallas Wholesale Builders and Lumber for over 30 years.

In his leisure, he enjoyed watching his favorite football team “The Dallas Cowboys”.

Charles Ray Gibbs departed this life on June 5, 2019. He was preceded in death by: his mother; Lessie Jean Gibbs, father; James Beard Sr brother; Stanley Gibbs, niece; Naushia Gibbs, nephews; Charles D. Gibbs and Ryan Counter.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughters; RaShaundra King, LaDeidra Green, Tanya (Michael), stepdaughter; Toni, stepson; Tyran, granddaughters; Katelyn Moss, Madalyn Moss, 9 more grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Barbara, Dorothy AnnGibbs, 5 brothers; Don (Mary), James Jr, Raymond, Gary, Wesley, nieces and nephews; , Nakia (Gloria), Shanekia (Greg), Trey, Paula, Crystal and other loving family members.
