Charles F. Tubbs was born May 13, 1934 to Jessie and Emily Tubbs in Terrell, Texas. He received his formal education in Dallas public schools.

Charles accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age at New Mt. Corinth (Morris Street).

Charles enlisted in the United States Army November 14, 1952. He was honorably discharged September 4, 1954. He was employed by Dallas Athletic Club for several years. Charles was a pitcher in the Dallas and Kansas Negro League.

Charles Fredderick Tubbs entered Eternal Rest on April 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Tubbs; mother, Emily Tubbs; brothers, Jessie, Jr., Arlee, and Johnny; sisters, Lola Mae and Nellie Mae Bradford.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one sister, Eska Moore, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
