Ms. Charlotte Jean Watkins-Smith was born on March 12, 1964 in Ferris, Texas (Ellis County), to Willie Dixon and Carolyn Jean Watkins-Betts.

She received her formal education in Ferris, Texas and graduated with the Class of 1982.

She accepted Christ early in life and was baptized under Rev. P.C. Christopher. As time went by Charlotte had two bundles of joy, March 30, 1979, Tammy Watkins and June 28, 1980, Camishia Watkins. Charlotte was an assistant dietary manager for many years.

She was preceded in death by: her stepfather, Mr. Robert Johnson (June 27, 2009).

“Charlotte was a nice and caring person”, she met no strangers and she would have your side hurting on some of the thing she would say.

On Saturday evening, March 23, 2019 around 7:45 P.M., the angel of silence called Charlotte Jean Smith by name.

She leaves to cherish her memories: loving soulmate; J.D. Smith, husband for many years of Hutchins, Texas, father; Willie Dixon of Dallas, Texas, mother; Carolyn Jean Betts of Ferris, Texas, two daughters; Tammy James (Darrin) of Desoto, Texas, Camishia Jeffery (Brandon) of Seagoville, Texas, 4 grandsons; Xavier Watkins, Devion James, Cameron Jeffery, Ty’Ron Watkins, 2 sisters; Christine Ogbonna (Epiphany) of Dallas, Hope Mckinney (Antonio) of Dallas, 2 nieces; Jasmia Betts of Dallas, Jamara Hall (Chris) of Dallas, 3 great nieces; Janaia, Ja’Miyah, Jaziah, 4 aunts, 5 uncles, a host of 1^st cousins and other relatives and many many friends to mourn her passing.
