Coquetta Gardner-Lloyd was born on November 14, 1976 to the union of John and Jimmie Gardner in Dallas, Texas.

Coquetta G. Lloyd received her formal education at Kimball High School c/o 95 in Dallas, Texas. She furthered her education at UNT in Denton, Texas.

Coquetta Lloyd accepted Christ as her Savior at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church at a young age and was united with Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a usher and worked in the nursery.

Coquetta Gardner was united in holy matrimony with Cory Lloyd on March 17, 2002 in Dallas. Their union was blessed with 2 children.

In her leisure she enjoyed gardening, crafts, party planning, social events, holiday (celebrations), hair styling, beauty consultation (personal), love shopping on a personal basis, traveling, taking her children to their school activities, football, band, theatre and cheering.

She was a member of Tori at the Potter’s House of Dallas, the National Honor Society and Young Life at Kimball High School.

Coquetta G. Lloyd departed this life on July 2, 2019. She was preceded in death by: her grandfather; Clentell Thompson Sr., grandmother; Dorothy Thompson, uncle; Clenteell Thompson Jr and her father; John Gardner.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband; Cory Lloyd, children; Jayda Lloyd, Kobe Lloyd, mother; Jimmie Bell, brother; Kristian Gardner, Jacoreya, Janaye and Jamiya Lloyd (half-sisters of Kobe and Jada). DorLisa and Raungi Jones Sr. (aunt and uncle), John Thompson (uncle), Raunisa and Destiny Jones, Darius Thompson and Clentell Conner (cousins).
