Debra (“Debbie”) Marie Johnson was born on March 19, 1957 in Dallas, TX.  She was the first born of three (3) children.  In her early childhood years, she was raised by Cleo Jackson, who preceded her in death and a loving living father and mother – Raymond and Delois Betty Johnson.

Debbie accepted the Lord into her life at an early age at Southern Crest Full Gospel Baptist Church and later became a member of Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, under the direction of Pastor Robert W. Townsend, Sr. Pastor, located in Richardson, TX.  She immediately became an active and faithful member.  She diligently served in the Intercessory Prayer Ministry and in the Member Services Ministry.  Debbie remained a faithful member until her health began to fail.

Debbie graduated from high school with honors and later attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Education.  Debbie had a burning desire and passion for education and always instilled that wisdom and values in her children.  This desire later lead to her opening a private school (Excel School House) in her home.  She always believed that all children deserve the best and someone who believed in them.

After she was called, Debbie attended Dallas Baptist University and graduated with her Theology Degree.  She had religious and social beliefs that she stood firm in and was passionate about applying those principals of religion to her ministry and anyone else that she met.

Debbie will continue to live on in our lives and her wonderful memories will be forever treasured by her parents, Raymond and Delois Johnson; One (1) daughter – Kenebra (Tootie) Wilcott Blalock (Jimmie); Four (4) grandchildren – Ahmalik Marshall, Ahmayah Marshall, Ahmahni Marshall and Mister Montgomery; One (1) brother – Cleo Jackson, Jr. (Cheryl); One (1) sister – Rosalind Johnson Sanders (Robert); Two (2) aunts – Bobbie Mitchell and Jimmy Jefferson; Two (2) uncles who preceded her in death – Clinton Lee and Clarence Lee and her grandmother – Marie T. Lewis, who also proceeded her in death.  Debbie was blessed with many nieces and nephews, a host of cousins and many other family members and close friends who all loved and will miss her dearly.
