Debra La Cheryl Mumphrey was born on October 2, 1954, to the parentage of Delores Zelma Mumphrey and Billy George Mumphrey in Kilgore, Texas.

Debra began her elementary education in the Kilgore public schools and later attended Sarah Zumwalt and graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, Texas.

Debra attended East Texas State University in Commerce Texas.

She was a member of Friendship-West Baptist Church where she joined under Pastor Dr. Frederick Douglas Haynes III.

She was employed by the Magic Years Academy and Kiest Florist as an office manager.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Zelma Mumphrey.

Debra is survived by her loving daughter, Devin Delores Mumphrey (Dallas, Texas); three beautiful grandchildren, Aramis, Jakyre and Aaliyah, and a host of relatives and friends.
