De’Vonte Duncan

De’Vonte Duncan was born on August 1, 2001 to Sherika Duncan & Rodney Derrick in Garland, Texas.

De’Vonte Duncan received his formal education at Garland, High School in Garland, Texas where he excelled in varsity football, basketball and track in Garland, Texas.

De’Vonte accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at St. Mark Baptist Church at the age of 16 and was united with St. Mark Baptist Church under Rev. Wheaton.

In his leisure, he enjoyed playing sports with his little brother Jr and being around his family and friends.

He was a member of the Garland High School Owls.

De’Vonte departed this life on May 21, 2019.

He leaves to cherish his memory: mother; Sherika Duncan (Tramaine), father; Rodney Derrick (Larinda), grandparents; Sherry Duncan (Arthur), Kippy Clay, Shirley Derrick, Sammy Edwards, Sheila (GG) Whitehead, siblings; Tramaine (Jr.), Dyari, Dariyah, Dalycia, Devan, aunts; Tracie Kennedy (LaKendrick), Destiny Clay, uncles; Brodrick Duncan (Marcus), Antoine Crow, Elijah Edwards, cousins; Deja Duncan, La’Kendria Kennedy, Kayla Kennedy, London Fincher, a special friend; Dearra Jones and a host of relatives and friends.
