Ms. Erma Jean Gregg was born February 24, 1939 in Navarro County, Corsicana to the parentage of Mr. Carnia Rubell and Leola Powell Rubell; both parents preceded her in death. She accepted Christ at an early age. She received her education in Ennis, Texas, Fort Worth, Texas, and Corsicana, Texas. Erma later met and married Vernon Gregg and to this union three children were born.
Ms. Gregg was a domestic worker and private duty nurse. She was free spirited and loved by many. Years later she met Arthur “June Baby” Sanders and three children were born. Her hobbies were cooking, fishing, and loved to dance and enjoy life. She also enjoyed visiting the sick and shut-in. Later in life, she met Robert Bell and one child was born. She loved gardening and joy riding to friends and family. She had a passion for her cars. She later became a member of Timothy Baptist Church of Ennis, Rev. Clarence Jones.
Ms. Gregg was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Carnia Rubell and Leola Powell Rubell; one daughter, Shirley Jean Sanders, and one son, Melvin Miller; one brother and one sister, Linda Rubell.
She is survived by 2 sons, Wayne Gregg of Dallas, and Bobby Gregg of Wyoming; three daughters, Doris Baker (Jason), Athens, Eathel “Mae” Gregg Williams, and Barbara Miller, both of Dallas; three sisters, Shirley Johnson of Houston, Lavera Brown (Lewis) of Ennis, and Freddie Roberson of Corsicana; four brothers, Lawrence Rubell of Corsicana, Carnia Rubell, Jr. of Glen Heights, Tommie Rubell of Corsicana, and Peter Hill (Paulette) of Kerens; 13 grandchildren, Quanta Gregg, Juaquai Gregg (Melvin Miller, Jr., Belton, Marlon Miller), LeTarquin Miller, Quierra Forest, Quadriel Forest, all of Dallas, Marslanes, Joselyn, Deven, Mortress, Jasmine, Carmel all of Wyoming; 21 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
