Ernest Gregg Cooper
Ernest Gregg Cooper also affectionately call “Ernie” “Coop” or “Grandpa Ernie” was born November 18, 1947 and passed away suddenly January 26, 2020 from heart failure.
Ernest was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He served in the US Army 18th Military Police in Vietnam.
He loved when the ‘babies’ (all ages included) came to visit, he loved to tell stories (true or exaggerated), he loved to travel, he truly loved his dog ‘Dog’ and he absolutely loved the OU Sooners. Baseball was his passion and he didn’t take his eyes off the news.
He is survived by: his wife of 20 years Debra Cooper; children, Patrick(Kelly) Cooper, Wendy (Jamie) Denny, Michael (Linh) Cooper , Daniel (Corey) Lewis, Matthew Lewis , Kimberly Lewis and her fiancé Stephen; grandchildren, Dani, Cami, Cooper, Casey, Kyle, Dean, Oliver, Evelyn and Eleanor; brother Gary; aunts, Elaine and Janis; Mother-in-Law, Emogene and a host of nieces, nephews and other family member and friends.
Preceded in death by parents Gregg and June Cooper, ‘Dog’ and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Donations are appreciated to Wounded Warriors Project in Ernie’s memory.
