Ezzard Charles Jones was born in Ferris, Texas, on December 7, 1953, to the parentage of Ruby Faye Jones and Vernell Jones. Charles accepted Christ at an early age at Qualls Chapel United Methodist Church in Ferris, Texas, now named God’s Kingdom United Methodist, under the leadership of Pastor, Rev. Sylvester Shead.

Charles attended Ferris public school and graduated from Ferris High School in 1971. Upon graduating, he attended All State Business College. He was employed by various companies during his life, including Sear, and All State Insurance.

Charles loved to entertain family and friends and travel. Charles had a passion for music and playing the piano. He played for several churches in Dallas, Houston, Ennis, and Ferris, Texas. He was currently the musician at TrueVine Missionary Baptist Church in Ferris, Texas, where he was a faithful member.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory three brothers Robert Jones (Rose) Dallas, Texas, Paul Jones (Clarissa) Ferris, Texas, Vince Jones (Angie) Two special cousins Kathryn Renee. Harrell, Jiles Ray. King, Special friends Helen Andrews, and Family, a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends. He loved his family in Lubbock, Texas, Charles would often travel to visit them. Again, Charles will really be missed dearly.
