The Garland Don Cooksey was born March 5, 1952 in Dallas, Texas., to the parentage of Garland R. and Georgia Cooksey. He received his education in the school of “Hard Knocks.”

He was preceded in death by his father, Garland R. Cooksey.

He is survived by his mother, Geogria Cooksey; first wife, Vickie R. Himes; daughter – Donna Lynn Cooksey Keener; second wife, Jennie “Big Lesa” Lee Cooksey: daughter, Lesa E. C. P. Cooksey-Hamilton; grandchildren – Graham T. Kelly, Victoria E. G. Painter, Sade B. Hamilton, Unique L. Hamilton, Reyna E. Balleza (great grandbaby); sister, Patricia Ann Kemmerle; brother Terry; sister, Brenda Kaye Dyar, and many friends.
