Gary Wayne Callaway

Gary Callaway born December 12, 1953 and died December 25th, 2022 surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his father Pierce Callaway. He is survived by his wife Rella Callaway; daughter Kelly Callaway Lovett, granddaughter Layla Lovett, daughter Holly Ellington and granddaughters Macy and Mary; His best friend whom he called brother, Jeff Whitehead; His mother Betty Callaway and brothers Mark and Jeff Callaway of Corsicana, sister Rhonda Callaway Atkinson of Uvalde, Tx. His friend Tommy McClure. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Gary owned his own business, GWC Construction in Corsicana, Tx.  He worked along side the Navarro County Courthouse, Jerry Ashcraft and Corsicana ISD, he built swimming pools, houses, designed and built his own home. He was a loving father and a wonderful providing husband to Rella.

The family would like to extend a special thank you especially to New Century Hospice. Thank you for the amazing care provided. Thank you also to Bernice, Sherry and Brittany for being there for him and the family during this time. You all did an amazing job, “I don’t care what anyone else said about you!” As Gary would say. We couldn’t have done any of this without you all.

Services will be held for immediate family and friends as a private gathering.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family or to Calvary Worship Center in Corsicana.
