March 23, 1924 – April 11, 2020

Harvey McHenry (affectionally known as Pap) died peacefully at home on April 11 surrounded by his children.

Our father came to Dallas in the 50’s with our mother, Mettra, (who preceded him in death) from their hometown, Jonesboro, Louisiana. They settled in an area, formerly known as Old North Dallas.

After working for 37 years as a porter at Bennett’s Printing Company, he then spent 23 years as a courtesy car driver at Sewell Village Cadillac, where he was honored with many customer services awards.

Dad was a man with an unbelievable work ethic.

Dad leaves to mourn his two children, Sonya (George) and Eric McHenry. He also leaves to mourn his second wife, Jewel.

The family would like to thank Ms. Alyce and Maikia for their wonderful care of our dad.
