James Cooper, Jr. was born to the parentage of Lillie Mae and James Cooper, Sr., in Center, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age and received his formal education in Mt. Pleasant, Beaumont and Center, Texas. He is a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Veterans of Foreign Wars and served a tour of duty for two years in Germany.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father; two brothers and two sisters.
He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Demitris Cooper; one son, James Anthony Cooper; two brothers, Harry and David Cooper; four sisters, Helen, Barbra , Moureen and Mary; three nieces, Jessica Howard, Veronica Coleman, and Denise Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
