Ladell June Haggerty was born April 2 1944 to the parentage of Loyce Cippio Smith and David June Johnson in Dallas Texas. She was the oldest of 16 children.

Ladell accepted Christ at an early age. Ladell graduated from Booker T Washington High School. She united in marriage to Bruce Earl Haggerty, Jr. on August 12 1964. Three children were born of this union; Daryl Dmitri Haggerty, Kevin Devon Haggerty, and Tiffany Sheree Haggerty.

Ladell worked as a teacher for Dallas Independent School District. She and her family later went on to join Paradise Baptist Church in Dallas Texas, where they were members for many years.

Ladell was preceded in death by her mother Loyce Cippio Smith and father David June Johnson. Also, preceded in death by siblings Brenda Craddock, Freddie Smith Jr, Darlene Smith, LaQuita Johnson, and George Johnson and Grandson Antione Cooper.

Ladell leaves to cherish her memories, her sons, Kevin (Amelia) Haggerty, Daryl (Teresa) Haggerty of Dallas Texas; daughter, Tiffany Haggerty of Alexandria, Virginia; six grandchildren: Andrew Wesson, Davokie Seamster, Sasha Seamster, James Sutton, Amelia Seamster, Desiree Haggerty; 16 greatgrandchildren; 10 siblings: Robert Earl (Teresa) Smith, Freddie JB (Corolyn Ann) Smith, Brice Smith, Anthony (Beverly) Smith, Theresa Mooring, LaTonya Smith, Therman Johnson, Charles Johnson, Micheal Johnson, David Johnson, all of Dallas, Texas, and a host of nieces and nephews and many loving relatives and friends.
