LaSchinda Ann Thomas was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey on November 22, 1967 to Alfred and Beatrice Thomas.
LaSchinda graduated from Lancaster High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education and speech communication from the University of Arkansas of Pine Bluff.
LaSchinda pledged and became an active member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
She later received her Master’s degree from Antioch University in Seattle, Washington.
LaSchinda began a teaching career with Dallas Independent School District in 1992 until 2022. She served as a teacher and later as an Assistant Principal for various Dallas schools.
LaSchinda was a faithful member of the Strong Hands Nation Church in Dallas, Texas. She was a Praise and Worship singer.
LaSchinda accepted her calling to ministry and was ordained as a Minister at the Strong Hands Nation Church.
She departed this life on Sunday, December 11, 2022. She leaves to cherish her memories her father: Alfred Thomas; mother: Beatrice Thomas; two brothers: Reginald Thomas (Stephanie) and Kenneth Wyatt (Glennis); two sisters: Sheran Colberson (Zak) and Alfreda Patterson (Eddie); four uncles: Robert McDaniel, Charles Thomas (Cynthia), M.J. Wyatt and Marvin Wyatt; 5 aunts: Gloria Davis (Sanders), Etheleen Blackwell, Sammie Majors, Sorrell Wyatt; 10 nephews and nieces: 6 grand nephews and a host of many family members and friends.
