Lewis Brown was born November 4, 1935 to Will Brown and Thelma Sanders Brown in Kerns, Texas.

He received his education in Kerns and Dawson School Districts. He met and married the love of his life Lavera Rubell Brown. To this union eight children were born; two preceded him in death. He was a member of the Timothy Baptist Church, he loved God, his family and his church where he severed as Chairman of the Deacon Board, Sunday School Superintendent. For forty-three years, he sang with the Pastor’s Choir.

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Lavera Brown; four daughters, Berndette L. Brown of Dallas, TX, Evelyn Smith (Joe) of Lancaster, TX, Robbie Alaxanders (John) of Corsicana, TX, Christy Brown of Arlington, TX, Lewis Brown (Della), Bobby Brown of Dallas, TX; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Minnie Mae Washington of Plainview, TX, Peggy Danials (James) of Corsicana, TX, Alice Tubbs of Farwell, TX; three brothers, W.T. Brown of Clovis, NM, Bobby Joe Brown of Heart, TX, Jimmy Brown of Corsicana, TX and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
