Linda Jean Jackson was born on February 10, 1949, to the parentage of Mollie Mamon and Columbus Roberson. After the death of both her parents at a very young age, she was cared for by her brother L.C. and sister- in-law Eva Roberson. She received her education from the Lincoln Parish Schools.

At an early age, she united with New Prosperity Baptist until moving to Texas. Linda gave her life to Christ at an early age at New Hope Baptist Church.

Linda enjoyed her career as food service aide for Dallas Independent School District from 1992 until she retired in 2003. Linda loved good food and socializing. She had a wonderful sense of humor that could light up a room.

Lynn was preceded in death by: Parents – Columbus and Mollie Roberson; Brothers –  Claude Roberson, Roman Roberson, L. C. Roberson, Charlie Roberson, Roy Roberson, Lester Roberson; Sisters –  Diane Drayton, Sue (Dorothy) Body, Ira Burns, and Virginia Dean Williams, and her soulmate for 35+ years, Walter Lee Underwood, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy: Children – John “Robert” Jackson (LA), Gentry Jackson (LA), and Shamara “Nicki” Underwood (TX) (Courtney Sterling); one brother, Marshall Lee “M. L.” Roberson (Oakland, CA); Sister/Cousin – Bennie Faye Hargrove; 7 grandchildren whom she loved deeply, Jamarion, Jamour, Jhamiyah, Aniyah, Jamiyah, Tristan, Imani, Special In-laws – Mable Roberson (TX), Jean Roberson (TX), Robert Sutphen (TX), and Johnny “Jay Baby” Drayton Sr (La); a host of relatives and friends, and a host of family and friends.=====================================================================
