Mr. Lloyd Leon Neroes, Sr. (TC) was born, June 4, 1949 in Los Angeles, California to the parents of the late Ira and Alma T. (Briggs) Neroes. To this union, seven loving children were born. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Neroes and Alma Neroes; twin brother Floyd Neroes; and granddaughter Monique Neroes.
Along with his parents and siblings, Lloyd later moved to Terrell, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Terrell, Texas.
Lloyd attended Burnett Public School in Terrell, Texas where he graduated in 1967. After graduating from high school Lloyd was drafted in the United States Army in 1969. While serving his country he fought in the Vietnam War, where he was a part of the 4th Infantry Division and was later honorably discharged after 3 years of service.
Thereafter, Lloyd returned to Dallas, Texas, which is where he met his soulmate and the love of his life, Diane Kelly. On June 8, 1974, Lloyd and Diane Kelly joined hands in holy matrimony. To this union, they became parents to five beautiful children: Lloyd, Jr., Roderick, Lora, Elisa, and Joshua.
Lloyd was a caring and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who worked hard to support his family. He was a dedicated employee at Gerdau, formally known as Chaparral Steel where he later retired after 40 years of service.
Lloyd always had a passion for helping others. He was a youth football Coach, where he mentored many young boys. Many of the kids on the team looked up to him as their second father and have stayed in touch with him over the years. Also, he was an avid Cowboys fan and an amazing domino player.
Mourning his departure yet cherishing his memories: A devoted wife for 44 years Diane; three sons Lloyd Neroes, Jr. (Falisha) of DeSoto, TX, Roderick Neroes (LaKisha) of Cedar Hill, TX, and Joshua Neroes, Sr., of Dallas, TX; two daughters Lora Neroes and Elisa Neroes of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Rosetta Holmes and Frances Neroes of Terrell, TX; three brothers, Edward Neroes and Willie Neroes (June) of Dallas, TX and Charles Neroes of Terrell, TX; twelve grandchildren, DeAndre Neroes, Dominique Neroes, Elexia Neroes, Jazmine Neroes, Crystal Neroes, Si’Ara Neroes, Jordan Payne, Joshua Neroes, Jr., Mia Neroes, Braylon Montgomery, Nyla Montgomery, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
