Mrs. Maetta Harris was born February 17, 1925 in Marlin, Texas to the parentage of Amanda Maxwell and Buck Maxwell.

Maetta accepted Christ at an early age. She loved to fish and have fun with family and friends. Her presence was known everywhere she went. She worked in hotel services.

Maetta was married to David D. Harris.

Maetta Harris passed away December 15, 2016. She was preceded in death by siblings: Rev. Arthur Maxwell, Tom Maxwell, Lavell Moody, Ersie Mae Joes, Lillian Lee Anderson, and Ethel Nobles; daughters: Ruth Washington and Susie Stovall; son, Willie D. Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Elizabeth Nash and Georgia Jackson; sons, Terry Harris and Clarence Harris; 26 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
