Marc James Strickland Jr was born to the parentage of Marc Strickland Sr and Dewanna Mitchell on December 23, 2001 in Dallas, Texas.

Marc received his formal education at Dallas Can Academy, where he would have been a Senior next year in 2021.

He loved race cars and playing football. In his early years, he would attend the Boys and Girls Club of Oak Cliff after school, where he met and played sports with his close friends of today.

Marc James Strickland Jr departed this life on January 18, 2020. He is preceded in death by: his grandmother; Bonnie Ruth Mitchell, grandfather; Elgin Grate and cousins.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother; Dewanna Mitchell, father; Marc Strickland Sr, grandparents; Delma Strickland, James Strickland, great grandparents; Stella Mitchell, Wylie Mitchell, brother; Marcquaver Barnes, sisters; Shareka (Debrosky) Mitchell, Tamela Wilson, Vanecia (Pierre) Holbert, Xabreyia Wilson, niece; Kaityln Smith, nephews; Pierre “PJ” Struggs Jr., Bryson Warren, Jahir Brimingham, aunts; Arneesha Mitchell, Tione Strickland, Aretha Mitchell, Cara Fields, Michele Daniels, girlfriend; Destyny Willis, special mom; Shechiah Willis, special sister; Brittany Mcgraw, special niece; Ja’Miya Hawkins, cousins; Semaj Mitchell, Dynaya Jackson, DeAndrae Jackson, Ronald Simmons III, Stephen Ware, Demond Strickland, DeOnta Daniels, Cisco Mitchell, Daylan Henderson, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and OTB Family who loved him dearly.
