God planted a seed that would grow into a beautiful flower so that one day he would pluck it up and say. “It’s time to come home.” Mary passed peacefully from this life the morning of February 8th at Baylor Medical Center of Dallas after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and friends during the last days of her life.

Mary Laura Johnson Briscoe was born to the union of Joseph and Rosie Lee Johnson, on February 21, 1941 in Nineveh, Texas. Mary grew up in Elkhart, Texas attending Elkhart ISD where she received her formal education. She relocated and was a current resident of Dallas County.

At an early age, Mary dedicated her life to Christ. In 1997, Mary united with the Abundant Faith Church under the leadership of Pastor E. Phillips while a faithful member until her death. Mary was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, cousin and friend.

Preceded her in death was her parents – Joseph and Rosie Lee Johnson; sister – Callie Cooper and six other brothers and sisters; children – Derrick Mosley, Sybil Mosley (Niscey), Edward Mosley (Biscuit).

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory: 4 sisters: Rubynell Thomas of Fayetteville, NC.; Bennie Grover of Kansas City.; Loretha & Leroy Williams and Willie & Hank Talley of Dallas TX. 3 children: Dennis Mosley, Eddie Mosley, and Frank Mosley. 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
