Life Reflections

Bobby Charles Jones was born May 30,1947 in Dallas, Texas…to the parentage of N.E. Jones and Mattie Jones.

He graduated from J.N Ervin High School in 1966. Afterwards he joined the United States Army on January 25, 1967. He was honorably discharged on January 24, 1969. After which he started his career in the grocery industry extending well over 25 years before he retired.

Bobby was united in Holy matrimony with Shirley Jones on July 25, 1975 in Dallas, TX. Their union was Blessed with one child Denitra Taylor.

Bobby was a giver. He was always willing to extend a hand to help others in need and was never quick to judge. His family meant everything to him and there was no question that Denitrawas his pride and joy. Bobby was thoughtful, caring and loyal…just a great man with a beautiful spirit. He was stern but fair, you either respected that voluntarily or involuntarily. Bobby will be remembered by so many but we will always cherish all that he was. A Beloved husband and friend; On target, especially at playing pool; the Best Dad and Paw Paw; was Blessed with a 72 years Earthly journey; Y…just why were you taken from us so soon?

Bobby received Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of House of Love Church, where he served as Chairman of The Finance Committee and Superintendent of Sunday School.

Bobby was also preceded in death by, his dad; N.E. Jones, mom; Mattie Jones, four brothers; Jerry, Allen, James, Walter and sister Pearlie McDuff 

Bobby is survived by his wife; Shirly Jones, daughter; DenitraTaylor and son-in-law Jason Taylor, brother; Stephen Jones (Deneese), sister; Kay Frances, a host of relatives and friends.
