Micah Elijah Rice was born on March 26th, 2000 to Roshonda and Derek Neal, Sr. in Arlington, TX. Micah received his formal education at T.L. Marsalis Elementary, W.H. Atwell Law Academy, and Kathlyn Joy Gilliam Collegiate Academy, all located in Dallas, TX. The sum of his academic endeavors culminated in his June 2018 graduation. His post-secondary education included furthering his education with dual credit at Cedar Valley College, while attending Kathlyn Joy Gilliam Collegiate Academy. Micah began attending the University of North Texas in Denton, TX during the Fall of 2018.
Micah accepted Christ at an early age, and continued his spiritual journey until his last breath left his physical body.
Micah was a sports aficionado, excelling in football, wrestling, and track. He enjoyed playing video games and chess. He was an avid music lover, spending countless hours creating original music. Micah found great pleasure in viewing the diverse art form anime. He was a food enthusiast, relishing every bite of a delicious meal.
Micah Rice departed this life on May 16th, 2020. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Don Neal; great-grandmother, Velma Matthews; great-grandfather, Elijah Bryant, Sr., and great-aunt, Etta Pearl Rice.
His life will forever be cherished by his mother and father, Derek and Roshonda Neal; sister, Destinee´ Neal; three brothers, Davion Rollins, Derek Neal, Jr. and Dylan Neal; one niece, Meghan Rollins; grandparents, R.O. and Ruby Rice; grandmother, Joyce Bolden; Godmothers, Dora Allison and Yolanda Bryant; and a host of devoted uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
