=================================================================================
For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.
1st Chronicles 29:15
Michael Wayne Masters was born on February 19, 1958 to the parentage of Willie D. and Girtha Lee Masters. He grew up in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas, Texas. He attended the South Oak Cliff High School where he began his love for football and became the number one fan of the Dallas Cowboys win or lose.
In 1988 Mike met Lisa Henderson and together they had one son even though Mike and Lisa didn’t marry, they stayed great friends.
Mike was a bachelor who was quiet most of the time, he loved God, classic movies, music and making people laugh.
In 2016, Mike rekindled a relationship with Dorothy Johnson, who he was planning to marry.
On March 9, 2019, Michael suddenly entered into eternal rest.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother Willie D and Girtha Lee Masters.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his son; Ladarius Masters, brothers; Emanuel Ivory, Ricky Sales (Andrea), sisters; Wanda English, Willie Kay Hogg (Charles), Sherri Brown (Deshon), step mother; Ruth Masters, step-brother; Adrian Johnson, step-sister; Lawanna Grady (William), uncle; Harvey Masters, aunt; Sheila Hooks, fiancé’; Dorothy Johnson, special friend; Lisa Henderson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
