Mildred Steen Scott

Mildred Steen Scott was born November 15, 1943 to the union of Elbert Adam Jones & Jessie Salter Powell in Corsicana, Texas. 

Steen received her formal education at Jackson High School in Corsicana, Texas. She furthered her education at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas. 

Steen accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age and was united with Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship where she served as a member. 

Mildred Jones was united in holy matrimony with Eddie Scott in 1963 in Corsicana, Texas. 

She was employed by Citi Group/Associates First Capital Corp. as an Account Services Representative until her retirement. 

In her leisure, she enjoyed playing Bingo, spending time with her grandchildren, volunteering to help with their personal matters, cooking, going to church and shopping. 

Mildred Steen Scott departed this life on March 29, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband; Eddie Scott, father; Elbert Jones (Annie Bell), mother; Jessie Powell, sister; Verma Powell-Jones, and brother; Anthony Powell. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: children; Luanne Robinson (Willie), Charlotte Ellis, Donna Vu (Phong), Craig Scott (Cynthia), Eddie Scott (Sabina), grandchildren; Adrian, Avery, Michael, Audrey, Anthony (Promise), Nicholas, Astin, Aubrey, Kristen, Tyler, Scarlett, Ashleigh, Angelia, fourteen great grandchildren; siblings; Elbert Jones Jr., Vonnie Powell Jr. (Joyce), Janett Griffen (Tommy), Cordia McKenzie (Samuel), Carolyn Wade Powell, special friends; Pearl Reynolds, Kevin Boggess, Kim Payton, Trish Jones, Sandra Schooler and Velma Coleman.
