Odie Caldwell, 85, of Seagoville, TX died January 09, 2017. He was born in Hufsmith, Tx to Charlie Caldwell and Malisia (George) Caldwell. He was married to Lillie B. Caldwell with whom he shares five children.
Brother Caldwell was employed by the Dallas Independent School District where he faithfully served as Maintenance Supervisor for 18 years. Odie loved his family, fishing, and the Lord. He served as deacon of Sandhill Baptist Church of Seagoville, TX. He had kind words for everyone he met and encouraged them to pursue a Christian life. His main passion was to serve the Lord.
He leaves his beloved wife Lillie; son Julius Jean Thomas, and daughter Lillie Caldwell. He also leaves a brother Willie Caldwell (Helen) of Dallas, TX. He leaves 9 grandchildren: Kevin Christian, Theresa, Barbara, Karen, Norris, Yolanda, Sharhonda, Aramis (Charlton), and Darian. 19 great-grandchildren, sister in law Earnestine Butler and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Father Charlie Caldwell, mother: Malisia (George) Caldwell, twin brother Otha Caldwell. Brothers: J.W. Caldwell, J. D. Caldwell, Johnny Caldwell, and L. B. Caldwell. Sisters: Eva Mae Caldwell, Eula Mae Caldwell, and Carrie Mae Caldwell. Daughters: Eula Jean Caldwell, Brenda Joyce Caldwell, Malisia Bailey, and step daughter Carrie Fulsom.
