Pamela Michelle Miller was born May 18, 1959 in Amarillo, Texas to Archie Lee Hunnicutt and Marie A. Ferguson-Hunnicutt. After relocating from Texarkana to Dallas, Texas, she was raised by her step father, Rufus Presley, Jr. and mother, Marie Presley.
Pamela Michelle Miller attended elementary school at John W. Carpenter Elementary. As a teenager, Pam’s gift of writing and public speaking allowed her works to be used in school newspapers and other local forums. She graduated from Justin F Kimball High School in Dallas, TX and then attended Bishop College. As a single parent with two children, Pam found it challenging to balance work and family life so she decided to begin her career in accounting at Exxon/Mobil Gas Company. Pam worked there for a number of years and eventually decided to take a position at EDS where she worked as a Supervisor for over 10 years. After EDS relocated, Pam took a position to work from home as an independent contractor for various companies in order to focus on fulfilling a life-long dream of publishing her numerous works of literary art. In 2012, after 30 plus years of writing, she would eventually put together an impressive collection of original poetry in her book “The Limo – Reflections From the Road”. The book was met with enormous praise from the spoken word community. She later became the co-chair of Desoto’s “Poetry in Progress” group where she was honored to have the opportunity to share her journey in her work.
Pamela Michelle Miller was a wonderful person to know and be around. Her contagious, optimistic view of life attracted a very diverse mix people. She had a smile that could light up a room and a presence that made everyone around her recognize how special she was. Pam shared her life and life experiences with anyone that she felt could use the information to create a more positive life for themselves. She had a very unique ability to make a chat on the phone feel like an impromptu counseling session. Peppering her conversations with phrases like “let me know how that works out for you” and “chile, I wish I would…” helped solidify her reputation as an honest, loving and caring person with good intentions. She made every person she talked to feel as if they had their own exclusive and unique relationship with her. BFF took on different meanings for different people at different times with Pam. She could be your Best Friend Forever or your Best Friend For Now. Either way was a treat. This approach to friendship and life made Pam have many, many friends all over the country. She was loved and respected by peers.
Pamela Michelle Miller was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother and grandfather, Mr. and Mrs. George Ferguson and paternal grandmother and grandfather Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Presley, Sr. and father Rufus Presley.
Mourning her departure while cherishing precious memories of her are her children, Zachary Pope, and Unique Hunnicutt and Daughter-In-Law, Kendra Allen, her mother Marie A. Presley and brother, Aubrey K. Presley, grandchildren Jazzy Boyd, Raven Pope, Quinlan Pope, Ja’Myria Pope, Za’Chya Pope, and Zy’Ria Pope. She also leaves to mourn with their precious memories of time spent with her a host of friends and relatives. This is not a funeral, this is a Celebration of Life Event.
