Paul Reynaud Nelms was born in Dallas, Texas to Myra White. He is the oldest of two brothers. He married wife Wilma Jean Cannon and of this union four children were born, Keith R. Nelms, Karl R. Nelms, Tracey Nelms Williams, and Debra N. Handsome. Son, Karl preceded him in death, as well as his mother, Myra.
He was educated at Lincoln High School in Dallas, Texas and was a truck driver by trade and self-employed.
Our dad was a loving and caring person who had many friends, both old and new. The stories he shared and memories of him will forever be cherished by his daughter, Cherbonay Watkins, grandchildren, Stephanie J. Nelms, Freda M. Coleman, Courtney A. Nelms, Trey J. Nelms, Shannon Hodges, LaCresha Stewart , Brandi L. Williams, Barry L. Williams, and Faith Nelms; adopted children, Ben Traylor, Erica Traylor, Jessica Traylor, Spence Traylor, and Kelly Traylor; brother, Sunny Nelms; daughter-in-law, Teisha Rusk Nelms; sons-in-law, Barry L. Williams and Tracey Handsome; and 15 great-grandchildren.
We would like to thank the staff at Senior Care for making a home for our dad and taking great care of him.
