Percy Lee Porter was born on September 1, 1954 to the union of Robert and Willie Mae (Pickens) Porter in Natchez, Mississippi. Percy Lee Porter received his formal education at Wilmer Hutchins High School in Dallas, Texas.
He furthered his education at Lincoln Tech in Grand Prairie, Texas. Percy Lee Porter accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age in Mississippi.
Percy Lee Porter was united in holy matrimony with Sharon Bradford in Dallas, Texas. Their union was blessed with 1 child; Shalise M. Porter.
Percy Lee Porter enlisted into the United States Army on December 15, 1975. He was honorably discharged on November 29, 1977.
He was a disabled Army veteran. Percy Lee Porter departed this life on May 24, 2019. He was preceded in death by: his father; Robert Porter, mother; Willie Mae Porter, wife; Sharon (Bradford) Porter, brothers; Robert Porter Jr, Willard Porter, sisters; Elizabeth Porter-Moody, Thelma Porter-Logan and Betty Jean Porter.
He leaves to cherish his memory: brother; Jerry Porter, sister; Helen Porter, children; Chandra Smith, Teddy Pipkins, Clenton Pipkins, Charles Porter, Faylesa Porter, Shalise Porter, great number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones to carry on.
