Life Reflections
Ralph Anderson Turner Sr. was born on July 6, 1951 to the parentage of Bruce & Rosie Mae Turner in Dallas, Texas.
Ralph received his formal education in the Dallas Independent School District where he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1970. He went on to further his education attending Mountain View College and University of Texas in Arlington.
Ralph was employed by Addison Marble and Tile Company and GAF. He later became self-employed for many years as a contractor.
Through his family Ralph was deeply rooted in the Christian faith, he accepted Christ at an early age.
While attending college, he later met his soulmate Gail Ann Wheeler. Ralph was affectionately called “Ralphie Pooh” by his wife, the two were together for 49 years. To this union 1 son was born: Ralph Turner Jr. There was never any doubt about how much Ralph loved her and she loved him.
In his spare time, Ralph loved spending time with family, playing dominoes, watching CNN, sports, and westerns.
Ralph will always be remembered for his love, his smile, his laughter, and most of all, his sharp outfits with his signature shoes and Tam hats to match.
Ralph Anderson Turner Sr. departed this life on October 11, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents; Bruce & Rosie Mae Turner, sisters; Gladys Johnson, Lola B. Rivers, Minnie Lee Wofferd, Adell Black, Lucille Baker, Inell Turner, RozellTurner, Helen Blackwell, brothers; Don L. Turner, Alfonzo Turner, Leonard McMillan, Harry Turner, and Little Bruce.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife; Gail Wheeler-Turner, sons; Tony Wheeler Thomas (Michele), Kerrick Hickman (Mahogany), Jermaine Hickman, Ralph Turner Jr. (Latoya), sisters; Adell Turner-Ford (Murphy), Bobbie Lee McCullough, brother; Bruce Turner Jr., a host of nieces, nephews, adorable grandchildren, family and friends.
