Rebecca Ford was born November 8, 1948 to the union of Leona and James Ford in Marshall, Texas.
Rebecca received her formal education at Eastfield Community College in Mesquite, Texas.
Rebecca accepted Christ as her Savior in January 1973, at the age of 24, and united with Loving Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as an usher.
Rebecca was united in holy matrimony with Billy Joe Reece on July 20, 1969 in Dallas, Texas. Their union was blessed with 3 children. She was self-employed at Rebecca’s Group Home Care as a Child Care Provider and Educator for 31 years.
In her leisure, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, walks in the park, reading her Bible, and attending church services.
Rebecca was a member of the National Council of Negro Women.
Rebecca Ford departed this life July 15, 2017. She was preceded in death by Tommy Ford, James Ford, Jr., Gladys Duffey, Mary Lee Fitzpatrick, and Joseph Vell Ford.
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Tosha Johnson and Sophia Reece; son, Christopher Reece; grandchildren; Sirion, Ciara, Calvin, and Seth; sister, Mary E. Ford-Bell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
