Reginald Bruce Latimer was born on October 11, 1958 to Charles and Mildred Latimer. He was the 6th of seven children. Reginald attended Dallas Public Schools and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and worked as a Radio Communication Specialist.

Reggie had a very charismatic personality, a giving spirit and a beautiful smile. He loved traveling, had a passion for people, especially the elderly and youth. He was a proud Mason and member of King David Lodge #4, Dallas, Texas, with skillful hands, Reginald took pride in making his home beautiful, inside and out. He was very resourceful, a fisherman, barber, fabricator and inventor of the “Big Foot organizer” (stylist’s implement stand).

Reginald loved the LORD; attended and was baptized at his family church, Goodwill Baptist Church, under Pastor J. C. Huey. He later united with Israelite Baptist Church, under Pastor Diamond Watson where he was licensed and ordained as a Minister of the Gospel December 27, 2005. Reginald attended Southern Bible Institute, served as Assistant to the Pastor, Essie Dodd-Martin and was very active in his church. He served as Youth Minister and was instrumental in the development of the youth’s oratorical skills. He had a passion for working with youth as he recognized and helped develop their Spiritual gifts and talents. Rev. Latimer mentored Quamont Jordan in the ministry, was the church percussionist and taught several young drummers including Jeffrey, Jamell, Jaquay, Bobby Jr. and Joshua Jr. He was active in the Baptist Training Union and was a member of the Brotherhood and Male Chorus.

In January 1993 he met the love of his life Linda whom he affectionately called “Bae Bae”. They share over 23 years of love and marriage. They loved travelling and sharing in outdoor adventures.

Reginald leaves a legacy of love, five children and three grandchildren. The greatest value he instilled in his children was to have a personal relationship with Christ. He was full of happiness and pride because of the accomplishments of his children.
