Reginald Smith was born October 2, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois to Melvin Smith and Erma Jean Tyler-Smith.
Reginald received his formal education in the Dallas Independent School District. He attended T.G. Terry Elementary School, Atwell Middle School and Graduated from Skyline High School ready to take on the world.
Reginald accepted the Lord as his personal savior at True Faith Church of God in Christ. Reginald along with his wife Glynda continued their walk with Christ together at Holy God Bible Way Church in Dallas, Texas.
Throughout his time here on earth, he had a zest for life and interests that continually expanded. He completed his computer technician certification at Brookhaven Junior College. Later, he felt the call to go into the health field and earned his Pharmacy Technician Certification from Richland Junior College. He eventually decided to go to barber school, while always quoting, “I know I am good with my hands, I can do this, I need to do this,”—so he did. In 2019, Reginald obtained his barbers license and began to practice. He loved what he was doing and embraced the public exposure. Finally, he worked in a career where he had the opportunity to impact the life of every individual that sat in his chair and those who listened while sitting nearby. He had found his nitch. He had been given the gift of a captive audience and felt the importance of making every encounter count. Since his sense of humor came so naturally, he wisely inserted biblical principles throughout the conversations that he held with many. His technique was so unsuspecting that his efforts will live beyond his death.
Reginald departed this existence to embrace another, on May 15, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father; Melvin Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 13 years; Glynda Smith, his mother; Erma Smith, his sisters; Hope Smith, Sharon Smith , Simone Smith-Mantilla, and a host of family and friends.
