Ricky Joe Henry was born November 30, 1956 in Leonard, Texas to the parentage of Clyde and Elnora Henry, who both preceded him in death. Also, preceding him in death are 2 siblings: sister, Cynthia Evans, and brother, Fowler Bogar, Jr.

Ricky Joe joined Mt. Olive Baptist church in his hometown of Celeste, Texas at an early age.

Ricky Joe departed this life on March 26, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Kenny and Kelly Henry; 3 siblings: Linda Rector, Lee Henry, and Larry Henry; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and acquaintances.
