Ronald Curtis Morton was born on January 12, 1961 to the union of Sherman B. Morton and Mary E. Morton in Ennis, Texas. 

Ronald Curtis Morton received his formal education at W.T. White High School/DISD in Dallas, Texas. He furthered his education at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. 

Ronald accepted Christ as his Savior at Beth-Eden Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and was united with Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. 

Ronald Curtis Morton was united in holy matrimony with Latoya Lewis on May 7, 2004 in Dallas, Texas. Their union was blessed with two children. 

He was employed by Auto Plaza owned by Mike Hannon. Ron was in auto sales for over 20 years.  

In his leisure time, Ron really enjoyed playing football and was excellent at it! He enjoyed his entrepreneurship in Real Estate and Auto Dealership. Ron had a prestigious heart to help, give, and serve. He enjoyed spending time with his children and family. Ron had an innate heart for people. 

Ron joined McNeil Baptist Church where he was ordained as a Minister and served as an Associate Minister. At McNeil Baptist Church, Ron was known as “Lightning”. 

Ronald Curtis Morton departed this life on April 19, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father; Sherman B. Morton, grandfather; Timothy (Tim) Pointer, and grandmother; Allie W. Pointer. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother; Mary Ellen Goss, sons; Sovereign Morton, King Davis, uncle; Pastor Windell(Barbara) Pointer, cousins; Michael Pointer, Brian Pointer, Jonathan (Michelle’) Pointer, Rondell Pointer, uncle; Leonard Morton, special friends; LaTricia Dawn Rogers, Courtney Dawn Cole, Azaria Inez Rogers, Tierra Hughes, Xia’Morrah Paris, Xaivion Paris, a host of relatives and friends.
