Roy Howard Dean, Sr., the son of Frank Flowers, Sr., and Alene Dean Brown, was born January 23, 1955, in Ennis, Texas. Roy was raised in Ennis and was educated in the Ennis public school system, attending Dorie Miller Elementary school, Ennis Junior High, and Ennis High school. He was raised being taught the life of holiness at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Reverend Forward.
On December 4, 1973, Roy enlisted in the United States Army and served until he was honorably discharged on December 3, 1979. He then took up residence in Dallas, Texas.
In September 1983, he met Ladale Garner and on January 6, 1986 they were united in holy matrimony. To this union two children were born. In august of 1986 the Dean’s moved to Denver, Colorado and returned to Dallas in July 1988. In July 2004, the Dean family moved to Ennis, Texas and resided there until they made their final move to Conroe, Texas, in April 2015. Roy was employed at Nexeo Solutions.
On January 18, 2017 at 10:39 A.M., Roy made his transition from Earth to Glory. It’s sad but so true that sometimes moving on with the rest of your life starts with “Goodbye.”
