Shanae was born November 21, 1990 in Mesquite, Texas. She was born unto her parents Chiquita McDaniel and James Preston, Sr. Shanae attended school in the Richardson Independent School District. In elementary she attended Caldwell and Lake Highlands Elementary schools. Middle school she attended Lake Highlands Junior High.

In 2006, Shanae was hit by a car. She was told by doctors that she would never walk again or bear children. God seen fit for her to make it through. Her mother Chiquita and step father Derrick helped nurse her back to health. In 2007 she had her 1^st daughter and she worked hard to outweigh the odds and she graduated in June 2009 from Lake Highlands High School in Richardson, Texas as a teen mother.

Shanae accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. Shanae attended church at Lake Highland Baptist Church in Richardson and Connecting Church Ministries in Dallas, Texas. Shanae loved to dance, listen to music, love to eat and loved being around her loved ones or talking to them on the phone. She had a beautiful smile that would light up any room. Shanae parted this life unexpectedly on June 6, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. Shanae was loved by many and will truly be missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters: Shaniay’ Preston and Serenity McNeal, mother and stepfather: Chiquita (McDaniel) and Derrick Holloway Sr, father: James Preston, Sr, two brothers: James Preston Jr and Jamarice Preston (Kylie), step-brothers: Derrick Holloway Jr, Ray Holloway, step-sister: Shavonne Holloway. Grandmothers: Benny Pearl-Hartfield and Annie Matlock. Grandfathers: Hubert McDaniel and Robert Preston Aunts: Rochell McDaniel (Harold), Tara McDaniel (Wilbert), Sharon Dye (William), Ann Preston, Debbie Holloway, Uncles: Anthony McDaniel, Sr, Robert Preston, Darryl Holloway, Favorite/special cousin: Teddy (EK), Cousins: Dubbroccia McDaniel (Crystal), Telscher McDaniel, Sr, Anthony McDaniel, Jr, Josh Fanslaw (Erika), Jeremy McDaniel, Kesha McDaniel, Wilbert Scales, Jr., Robert Preston Jr, William Griffin Jr, Sharmetria Dye, Deshundra Dye, Amanda Robinson (Obrien), Kendrick Holloway (Azraa), Shykendra Holloway, Quinn Holloway  Special sisters and brother: Sharonda Pickron, Nygeria Melvin, Vera Artison, Steven Blackshear, Close friends: Radiance Mims, Stephanie Williams, Demetria Carreathers, Zakeia Cooper, Roxanne Nunez, Nicole Foli, Nyiemah Ringo, Aunt Paula, Aunt Jean and aunt Pookie.

He is preceded in death by her Uncle “Pete” Coleman, Uncle Lawrence Coleman, Aunt Dorothy Smith, Grandmother: Hattie Ann McDaniel, Great Grandmother: Cleora Coleman, Aunt Mable Mack and Aunt Joann Love.
