On June 6, 1968 in Waxahachie, TX a beautiful baby girl was born to proud and loving parents, Herschel Young and Barbara Allen. They named their baby, girl, Susie Anita Allen. Nita, as she was affectionately called, was nurtured in a home with her brothers Eddie, Terry, and Robert and her sister, Wilna.
Nita received her formal education in the Waxahachie Independent School District and she graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1986. She expanded upon her education by attending Executive Secretary School. She was also employed with Dart and Sweetheart Cup Factory but her passion was into fashion designs even assembling several outfits for herself.
Nita was a longtime member of Mt. Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church and remained a member until her death.
A joyous moment in Nita’s life occurred when she gave birth to her baby boy, Bryon Demarcus Allen. She also extended that love to her nieces, De’Aijiah Allen and Jordan Allen whom she was instrumental in nurturing.
On October 6, 1995, she married the love of her life, Kelvin Brent Nealy who remained by her side, through sickness and health. Nita enjoyed vacationing and going to movies with Kelvin and she also enjoyed riding her motorcycle. She also cherished her nightly devotions. Nita would sing a verse or two of a gospel hymn and read a passage of scriptures from the Bible.
On June 12, 2017, the angel of silence entered her life. Nita is preceded in death by her parents, Herschel Young and Barbara Allen; her brothers, Eddie, Robert, and Terry Allen; a nephew, Brandon Allen, and great nephew De’Aundra Williams.
Those left to cherish her memories: husband, Kelvin Nealy; son, Byron Allen; sister, Wilna Allen; grandchildren, Jatoria Allen, Bailey Allen, and Bre’Shanna Alexander; special nieces, De’Aijiah Allen, Jordan Allen, and Alison Allen; nephews, Brendan Alexander and Damon Allen; and a host of family and friends.
