Terrance Dawson

Terrance Lanier Israel Dawson known as “Terry” to his family & close friends was born on September 15, 1967 to the union of Katie Howard and Thomas Henry Dawson in Dallas, Texas. 

Terrance received his formal education at Roosevelt High School in Dallas, Texas. 

Terrance accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. Terrance was united with T.O.P., Tabernacle of Praise where he served in the music ministry as lead guitarist. 

Terrance Dawson was united in holy matrimony with Yolanda Smith on December 30, 2017 in DeSoto, Texas. 

He was employed by the Salvation Army Air Borne Express as a courier for a number of years. 

In his leisure, he enjoyed playing his guitar & often joined an array of bands from Gospel to Blues. Terrance was an avid pool player and was never afraid of a challenge. He was also a singer who could always stir a crown when he sang Prince. 

Terrance Dawson departed this life on November 1, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father; Thomas H. Dawson and grandmother; Miriam Buard. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, five children; Dominic (Zymiria, Zymetria), Terrecia L. Quintaries, Mya, Jayceon, Vashon Sam Tyler, Tracey (Kensley), Terrance Dawson Jr., four siblings; Valeria, Regina, Faith, Timmy “Tim”, special niece; Antavia Dawson “Thank You”, Shameca, Ke’Ona, nephews; Michael, Malachi, Justin, Laron, and many relatives who will share fond memories of Terrance’s life.
