Vertie Lee Tucker Our Beloved Doll
Vertie Lee Tucker was born on January 12, 1931 to the union of Arthur Forge & Lizzie Brooks-Forge in Mexia, Texas.
Vertie Lee Tucker received her formal education in the Mexia School System in Mexia, Texas.
Vertie Lee Tucker accepted Christ as her Savior at Good Shepherd Baptist Church at an early age, where she remained a faithful member serving as President of the ushers.
Vertie Lee Forge was united in holy matrimony with Claude Edward Tucker in 1950 in Mexia, Texas. Their union was blessed with seven children.
She was privately employed by Bill & Sally Brice as a personal care provider for over 50 years.
She enjoyed going to garage sales, going to church, playing cards and cooking for family gatherings. Her big heart was contagious and always came with a smile. Our mother was shared with friends and the community remembering the weekly calls to check on her children and grandchildren. She also leaves her extended family, the Brice's and many other family members and friends.
Vertie Lee Tucker departed this life on November 26, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents; Arthur & Lizzie Forge, husband; Claude Edward Tucker, sisters; Oneata Durham, Lizzie Smith, brothers; Arthur Forge, Wille Forge, and Orber Forge.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters; Joe Ann Tucker, Sherrie Hardeman (George), and Sharon Smith (Timothy) all of Dallas, Texas, sons; Dossie Tucker (Renee) of Mexia, Texas, Quince Darryl, and Patrick Tucker both of Dallas, Texas, one brother; Norman Forge of Rowlett, Texas, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
