Mr. Willie Lee Betts was born June 6, 1951 in Navarro County to the parentage of Mr. Earnest and Mrs. Emma Jean Betts. He received his formal education in Kerens Independent School District before transferring to Job Corp to receive his diploma. He professed a faith in Christ at an early age.
Willie Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Emma Betts; two sisters, Lorrine Lynch and Frances Bailey; and two grandsons, Brendan Betts and Tristan Dunn.
The angel of silence entered his life on Monday, December 12, 2016.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Anetria Betts Jacobs (Bruce), Camilia Betts, and Jacqualyn Hancock; three sons, Steven Sparks, Sr., Cecil Dunn (Anneshia) and Dennis Dunn; eight grandchildren, Briaunna Jacobs, Aniya Lawrence, Ayrianna Dunn, Ayanna Sparks, Kenadee Sherrard, Jayden Dunn, Bryce Tolliver, and Steven Sparks, Jr.; seven sisters, Earnestine Jeffers (JC), Joyce Yeldell, Mary Washington (Pete), Vern Betts, Rebecca Williams (David), Annette Bryant, and Marcia Betts; seven brothers, Earnest Betts, Jr (Claudia), Joe Dean Betts (Shelia), James Betts, Homer Betts (Vanessa), Michael Betts (Jackie), Jeffery Betts (Sherice), and Vernon Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
